Uniform Inspections

To pass inspection you must have:

• White t-shirt
• All black socks (mid-calf length or higher, no grey heels)
• Official Black Marching Band Shoes (rifles and banner students may have any comfortable all-black shoes)
• Gloves (drumline needs wrist bands instead of gloves)
• Hat
• Jacket with gauntlets
• Bibbers

Please make sure the number on your item matches the number on the bag/box.

Hats:

• Hat needs to be as parallel to the ground as possible
• Brim comes to the eyebrows or glasses
• Straps need to have two finger width of space under the chin
• Hat should not move when tilting your head to either side
• Chain needs to be straight, not crooked
• Use your gloves to wipe any smudges off your brim
• Use your gloves to press the chain down if it rides up

Bibbers:

• The hem of the bibbers should cover the socks when standing at attention.
  
• The bibbers should fall straight in the back and the hem should be between the top and the middle of the back heel.
  
• You can adjust the length using the snaps or by adjusting the straps.
  
• Be sure to use the velcro to cinch the straps before adjusting the length.
  
• It is much easier to adjust the snaps with the bibber inside out.
  
• All snaps must be secure. There are two on each side of each leg.

Gloves:

Students with open-holed instruments may cut the fingertips off.

Gauntlets:

• When you give a thumbs up, your gauntlet should point down
• Wear blue on blue and white on white
• Gloves and extra jacket material get tucked under the gauntlet

Hair:

• Boys - Hair can't stick out over the ears. Either cut it or tuck it behind the ears. It must look neat.
• Girls - Back in a ponytail or in one or two braids, or tucked up in a bun under the hat. No loose hair
• Hair must not be dyed any unnatural color!
