Beginning Ukulele

​The beginning ukulele class will be ideal for students ages 8 to 11 who want to learn a first instrument, or who already have musical experience. We will learn to play the ukulele and practice how to read music and rhythms using fun games and activities. 
 

Beginning Guitar

​This class for ages 12 and up will involve learning the basics of playing an acoustic guitar: posture, tuning, strumming, and finger picking. We will learn some scales and read melodies on a staff, but will also focus on chords and reading chord sheets. We will also spend class time learning basic music theory. This class intends to set students up well to join a church worship team, play popular music while singing along, and understand overall song structure of modern (worship) music.
