Family Involvement
As a non-profit organization striving to keep the cost of participation as low as possible, we depend heavily on our families to help make West Michigan Homeschool Fine Arts run efficiently and be a great experience for all students. Therefore, each family is expected to be involved in working in WMHFA in one way or another. Approximately 14-15 times (about 1½ hours each time) per job is needed to operate the program in an efficient manner. We need to ask families taking from 1 to 4 classes to help out in one area. Families taking more than 4 classes will need to help out in two areas. This can be one job for both semesters or two jobs during one semester. Jobs that are only 45 minutes each week last for the whole year and count as one job.
If you are healthy but too busy to help with a job, you will need to help with a Non-Involvement Fee: $380 for families with 1 to 4 classes and $570 for families with more than 4 classes.
A detailed list of jobs and times is available on the work schedule. We typically have plenty of workers early in the day and not enough at the end. If you are onsite at the end of the day, please sign up for a later spot.
